Mark Turner photographed by Matt Brown My name is Mark Turner. I'm the guy behind all the images on these pages. I spend a lot of time photographing gardens and farming here in the Pacific Northwest. I'd like to spend more time backpacking and climbing in the North Cascades mountains which rise just a few miles east of my home near Bellingham Bay. I'm a native of West Virginia, and return there to photograph periodically. Maybe we'll meet on the trail or in a garden some day.

You can find my published work in magazines like Garden Design, Sunset, American Gardener, Horticulture, Organic Gardening, Birds and Blooms, and Backpacker. My photos also appear on greeting cards, calendars, and in numerous garden books.

I also photograph commercial assignments for Bellingham and Seattle area businesses. My assignment work has also included magazine stories for Sunset, Horticulture, and Chiropractic Economics.

Professional Associations

My home is between north Puget Sound and the rugged North Cascades in Bellingham, Washington. I use my two sons, Zach and Ian, as photo subjects occasionally (and they protest when they find themselves in print again) and share gardening responsibilities with my wife, Natalie.
