Lupines at Mt. Rainier

Lupines at Mt. Rainier

The wildflower meadows at Paradise on Mt. Rainier burst with color in late July and early August each summer. The blue is Broadleaf Lupine, Lupinus latifolius. Other flowers peeking out in this meadow are Indian Paintbrush, Castilleja sp., and Mountain Arnica, Arnica latifolia.
