Bald EagleEach winter Bald Eagles, Haliaeetus leucocephalus, return to the Nooksack and Skagit Rivers in northwest Washington to feed on Chum Salmon. This mature adult eagle is perched on a Hemlock branch above the North Fork Nooksack. It's mid-morning and he's probably already eaten his fill. |
