These images are 360° panoramas created from 35mm transparencies or Canon D60 digital images, stitched together and then converted to QuickTime VR format. You need the QuickTime plug-in for your browser to view them. The files are big, so be patient while they download.

Artist Point Panoramic Boston Basin
Stand on the western lateral moraine of the rapidly receeding Boston Glacier and look up at Forbidden Peak. Climbers frequently camp at this site to get an early start on their ascent to Forbidden, Boston, or Sahale Peaks. In the distance to the west is Hidden Lake Peak, and to the south is the imposing face of Johannesburg. Note the classic lateral moraine to the east. This view is from July, 2006.
Artist Point Panoramic Artist Point
Stand on Huntoon Point, at the end of Artist Ridge in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and view spectacular mountains in all directions. Start with Mt. Shuksan (in the thumbnail at left) to turn to the right to see Mt. Baker, then Table Mountain and Mt. Herman. Keep going, and in the distance you'll see Canadian and American Border Peaks, Mt. Larrabee, and Goat Mountain. Finish your tour with the upper part of Mt. Baker Ski Area and Shuksan Arm. This view is from late August, 2003.

Reflection Garden, Bloedel Reserve
There is a formal, understated simplicity in this portion of the gardens at Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island near Seattle. This view is from early October, 2003.
Hurricane Ridge
View from the old fire lookout site on Hurricane Hill, the high point on Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. This is a late summer view from September, 2002.
Goat Mountain
View from the summit of Goat Mountain in the North Cascades on New Year's Day, 2001. Portions of this panorama are in North Cascades National Park, other parts are in the Mt. Baker Wilderness or Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. You may recognize Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Baker, with the Mt. Baker Ski Area between them.
