Canadian Border Peak (left) and American Border Peak rise just across the international boundary from each other. They are seen here from the Winchester Peak fire lookout on a fine September afternoon. The Winchester lookout is maintained by volunteers from the Mount Baker Hiking Club and is open for overnight use on a first-come, first-served basis. Access is by trail from Twin Lakes in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
