The Chilliwack River flows north out of North Cascades National Park into Canada's Chilliwack Lake. At this point it is flowing through one of my favorite stretches of old-growth forest at about 2,000 feet elevation. The trail from Copper Ridge cross es the river here to join the Chilliwack Trail. When I forded the river there were salmon spawning in the gravel.
