Bald Eagles Feeding on Nooksack

Dozens of Bald Eagles (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) winter along the Nooksack River where they feed on the Chum Salmon run. These four birds were sharing a fish on a gravel bar near the Welcome Bridge on Mosquito Lake Road on a nice day in January. The seagull is waiting for the eagles to finish so he can have the leftovers. An 800mm lens was used for this photograph.
